ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY
  • Sonographic assessment of the heart function by evaluating the contractility (pumping action), state of the valves, flow of blood through the chambers, size, and condition of individual heart chambers and valves, pulmonary arterial pressure in both adults and children.
  • A comprehensive and detailed evaluation of the heart in unborn babies is done to detect congenital heart defects before birth (Fetal Echocardiogram)
ELECTROCARDIOGRAM (ECG/EKG)
Assessment of the electrical activity of the heart applied in detection of abnormal heart rhythm (arrhythmias), chest pain to rule out acute heart attack/stroke (Coronary Artery Disease).
STRESS TEST
a form of an electrocardiogram in which stress is applied on the heart to induce Ischemic changes or an abnormal rhythm. It is used to:

  • Diagnose Coronary Artery Disease
  • Diagnose abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias).
  • Guide treatment of heart disorders.
