ABDOMEN & PELVIC ULTRASOUND
Detailed evaluation of the intra-abdominal organs including the Liver, Gall bladder, pancreas, Spleen, Kidneys, Urinary bladder, Uterus, Ovaries and Adnexa in female and the Prostate in male.
KUB ULTRASOUND
Evaluation of the urinary tract (kidneys, ureters, bladder) done on both males and in females, with additional evaluation of the prostate in males.
OBSTETRIC SONOGRAPHY
we provide various types of Pregnancy related (Obstetric) scan:
- Fetal Viability scan: Usually carried out vaginally at 6 to 10 weeks of pregnancy to evaluate viability of an intrauterine pregnancy/fetus and its supporting structures as well as to rule out ectopic/tubal pregnancy
- Growth Scan: Conducted in 2nd & 3rd Trimester of pregnancy to estimate the fetus’s (pregnancy’s) age, weight, position, movements, heartbeats and gross morphology; placentation and amount of fluid.
- NTS Screening : Conducted around 12 to 14 weeks of pregnancy to rule out possibility of the unborn baby developing Syndromes such as Down’s etc.
- ANOMALY Scan (Anatomic Scan): Detailed evaluation of the Fetus/baby at 18 to 22 weeks of pregnancy to rule out structural abnormalities/defects ((congenital disorders) in the unborn baby.
- Obstetric DOPPLER Study: Assessment of the blood flow through the umbilical arteries and the arteries in the baby’s brain in cases of growth retardation, Anemia, Hypertension and Diabetes in pregnancy.
- Biophysical Profile (BPP): Assessment of baby’s wellbeing in the 3rd trimester of pregnancy in cases of reduced or absent fetal movements.
FOLICULAR Studies (CYCLE Tracking)
Performed in females to evaluate the growth of the ovarian follicles over various phases of the menstrual cycle, and determine possible timing of ovulation (Ovulation scan). This optimizes chances of natural conception and aid Assisted Conception.
TRANS-RECTAL ULTRASOUND (TRUS)
Detailed evaluation of the Prostate in males particularly to rule out Prostate Cancer. It is also conducted for the evaluation of the Uterus and adnexa in females with “virgo intacta” (unbroken hymen).
THYROID / NECK ULTRASOUND
Evaluation of the thyroid gland in cases of Goiter, choking, difficulty in swallowing and breathing and to rule out Thyroid cancers.
BREAST ULTRASOUND
Examination of breast tissues in breast pain and lumps, and yearly screening for cancers.
SCROTUM / TESTICULAR ULTRASOUND
Examination of the scrotum and testicles in cases of scrotal/testicular pain, swelling, trauma, torsion and infertility.
BRAIN ULTRASOUND
Detection of brain hemorrhage and brain damage in Premature and PreTerm babies; hydrocephalus (enlargement of the head due to excessive fluid accumulation in the cavities within the brain), congenital brain abnormalities and infection.
ORBITAL ULTRASOUND
Evaluation of the eyeballs and surrounding spaces in cases of eye trauma, foreign substances.
REGIONAL ULTRASOUND
Evaluation of superficial swellings in any part of the body.
VASCULAR (DOPPLER) STUDIES
we provide various types of doppler/Vascular/Ultrasound scans:
- KIDNEYS/RENAL DOPPLER – Assessment of blood flow in and out of the kidneys in patients with Kidney Failure, Hypertension, Diabetes etc.
- CAROTID DOPPLER – Assessment of blood flow into the brain through the carotid arteries in high risk patients (Smokers, Hypertensive, Diabetics etc.) for impending stroke.
- AV FISTULA MAPPING & MATURITY EVALUATION – Candidate assessment for possible AV Fistulation (surgical connection between an artery and a vein) in patients undergoing hemodialysis through central access; and Fistula Maturity and readiness for hemodialysis.
- LIVER DOPPLER – Assessment of blood flow in the liver in liver diseases such as Liver Cirrhosis and Portal Hypertension.
- PERIPHERAL DOPPLER – Evaluation of blood flow in the upper and lower limbs in cases of Peripheral Vascular Disease and clots.
